PT Photo Editor, as the name points out, is a photo editing tool. This means that you can use it to edit or enhance your photos. You can use it to adjust the color levels, to apply a preset effect, to crop the image, to fix red eyes and blemishes, to remove unwanted elements, and so on. Press the Space bar to see how the image looked before you edited it or click the B|A button to view a Before & After comparison.

The system requirements for running PT Photo Editor are: 1GHz processor or better (64-bit multi-core processor recommended); 2GB of RAM memory or more, 1024 x 768 screen resolution or better, any Windows edition from Windows XP SP3 onward. As expected, a setup wizard will help you install PT Photo Editor on a PC that meets these system requirements.

Once the setup wizard is done installing PT Photo Editor on your PC, it will automatically launch your web browser and direct you to a “User Guide of PT Photo Editor.” This User Guide presents links to articles on how to use the crop tool, the straighten tool, the lens correction tool, the clone tool, and several other tools. The User Guide also presents a tutorial on how to remove wrinkles, how to fix spots, how to create a selective coloring effect, how to remove unwanted objects, and more.

You can access the aforementioned User Guide from PT Photo Editor’s interface, by clicking the question mark “?” sign in the upper left hand corner. Speaking about the interface, it features a filmstrip down at the bottom, a histogram, effect presets and history panel to the left, a global and regional edit panel to the right, and a main panel right in the middle. Load an image and the main panel will display it. The filmstrip down at the bottom can be hidden out of sight; the panel on the left can be hidden out of sight; and the panel on the right can be hidden out of sight as well.

A prompt will show up every time you launch PT Photo Editor and it will present the benefits of purchasing a license: no watermark on the output, free upgrades, free online support.

Lots of handy photo editing, picture enhancing, and image manipulation tools can be easily accessed from PT Photo Editor’s interface.

Pros

The system requirements for running PT Photo Editor are quite low. The “User Guide of PT Photo Editor” webpage presents useful information on what the software can do. PT Photo Editor’s interface is easy to navigate; use it to easily access lots of handy editing tools.

Cons

Trial limitations: watermark on output, nag screen.
